About Film still
Film still is for travel, vlog and education creators who tell stories. A wide frame with letterbox bars and one subtitle line borrows the pull of cinema: a frozen frame always implies a scene before and after it, so the viewer wants to know what happens next.
It suits travel films, storytimes and short films, with a dramatic, mysterious or candid mood; a cinematic travel film thumbnail or storytime TikTok cover. The style is built around a photo of you, so add one at the start, and Auto draws the finished cover from it with your title or video link. Film stills come in widescreen 16:9 for YouTube and tall 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.
Tip: write the title as a line someone says in the scene, "We missed the last ferry"; a subtitle that sounds spoken makes the frame feel like a moment.
