About Reaction
Reaction is the classic YouTube thumbnail for reaction videos, food tastings, product tests and unboxings. A big face sits in the corner mid-reaction, the thing causing it sits beside it, and one giant word ties them together. People spot faces first in a feed, read the expression, then look across for the cause.
Use it when the video has a genuine surprise. Type a title of up to 18 characters, ideally one strong word. A photo of yourself is recommended, since your face is what makes it yours. Switch words off and the layout adjusts so face and subject carry it. Reaction is made in both 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.
