About Footnote

Footnote is for explainer channels, science communicators, experimenters, myth-busters and challenge creators who love a twist. A claim too bold to be quite true is set huge, with a red asterisk and a small footnote that admits the catch. The gap between the big promise and the honest small print is the hook: viewers click to see how both can be right.

Use it when the headline result is true only with a condition attached. The title is short, 20 characters at most, so every word must count, and the Footnote field holds up to 20 characters for the confession. A photo is optional. The joke needs both lines, so there's no words-off version. The thumbnail comes in 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

Tip: make the footnote funny, not defensive: '*in a cold bath' sells the claim better than '*results vary'.
